fellowships The Royal Society offers a choice of research opportunities from postdoctoral level. Appointments range from junior postdoctoral level (Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowships) to senior professorship level, for those renowned in their field (Research Professorships). The Society currently supports 380 scientists in the UK through research appointments. Details of award holders can be found in the Research Fellows Directory. The Royal Society is a signatory of the Concordat on Research Careers, which aims to improve the working conditions for contract scientists.
