Research
grants The scheme provides grants of up to a maximum of £10 000, including VAT where applicable, to individuals for research projects of timeliness and promise in any scientific or technological discipline within the remit of the Royal Society, ie the natural sciences, including mathematics, engineering science, agricultural and medical research, the scientific aspects of archaeology, geography, experimental psychology and research in the history of science. Provision is intended to complement that provided by the host department/institution where an individuals research capacity can be significantly enhanced by such provision. Grants will be made through host institutions.
