    MISSION
The Center for Peace and Reconciliation (CPR) seeks to promote pluralistic participation in the search for and consolidation of strategies to achieve lasting peace and security.

    OBJECTIVES
The Center for Peace and Reconciliation aims to:

Promote progressive demilitarization and the development of a concept of security that involves aspects of human development, thus going beyond the traditional definition of security that emphasizes military or defense issues.

Develop efficient mechanisms, support methods and spaces for dialogue aimed at the prevention and peaceful resolution of conflicts based on principles and norms of international law.

Define approaches and strategies that contribute to the construction of democratic governance and that guarantee sustainable and equitable human development in societies affected by internal armed conflict.

Originally, the CPR's work focused on Central America, although some of its more recent projects extend beyond this region.

    PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS
