Festival Total Raised To Date

The total as at 31st July 1999 was £761,761  pledged & donated to the fund.

We are on Target - Are You?

£3 million, the target set by the Festival Team and approved by the Provincial Grand Master, was set after considering the £2.2 million raised by our Province in the 1991 Appeal on behalf of the Masonic Trust for Boys and Girls, the continued effects of past and predicted inflation and the generally ageing and reducing numbers of Brethren in the Province.

Of this Target we hope that support in the form of individual donations will exceed £2.1 million.  Remember that donating via a Deed of Covenant over at least four years or a lump sum given as "Gift Aid" is the most efficient method for taxpayers as the Inland Revenue will add back tax at the basic rate ( increasing the gift by almost 30%) and credited to your donation at no extra cost to yourself!

Because of potential tax relief and interest which will be applied from the date donations are received, the success of our festival will largely depend upon the speed at which we each arrange our individual giving; so if you have not already done so please begin your giving now.  Your Lodge Festival Steward can provide the necessary advice and forms.

As can be seen above we have made a good start but this does not mean that the money has been received as most donations are in the form of pledged covenants.  If you are one of the over 600 who have covenanted to date, thank you for acting so promptly, if you are one of the 85% or so Masons in the Province yet to make arrangements please act swiftly - Time is of the essence as they say!

As we go to press Elliott Lodge No 8569 is heading the list of contributions with pledges and donations to the Festival over £20,000.
