The Medawar Lecture

The Medawar Lecture was established by Council in 1985 by an anonymous bequest of £5000 for the institution of a lecture in honour of Sir Peter Medawar. The lecture is given every three years on the subject of the philosophy of science or some other field of Sir Peter Medawar’s interest. A gift of £500 is associated with the lecture.
