The Darwin Medal (1890)

The silver medal is given bienially (in even years) in reward for work of acknowledged distinction in the broad area of biology in which Charles Darwin worked, notably in evolution, population biology, organismal biology and biological diversity. A gift of £1000 accompanies the medal.
