Master of Law; 1968 Doctor of Law 1975; Member of the Parliament of Poland on the Democracy Party Ballot 1982-85; Member of Solidarity 1980; Member of the Parliament of Poland, Citizens' Parliamentary Club 1989-9; Member of the Parliament of Poland and Democracy Union (later Union for Freedom) Parliamentary Caucus, Member of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs and the Constitutional Committee of the National Assembly 1991-97; Member of the Polish Delegation for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe 1991-92 & 94-97; Member of the Venice Commission "Democracy through Law" 1990 - present; re-elected Member of the Parliament of Poland and Union for Freedom Parliamentary Caucus 1997; Minister of Justice, Attorney General 1997 - present.
