Masonic Symbols

Like the Symbols of the Tradition, masonic Symbols represent a particular reality to which they are closely connected. Masonic Symbols concern particular aspects of the initiatory journey that the Mason has to make. This deals as always with the aspects of the Existence, seen and experienced as a way of being.

The masonic Symbols suggest "something" which is strictly correlated to the Consciousness of Man builder of Temples. These are, therefore, ways of being that belong to the global picture contemplated by the Symbols of Tradition, but , in addition, propose an active participation of men in the Existence, in capacity of Artificers of the Evolution.

The man Builder has the Duty to know the Rules that are at the basis of each interior construction, but must also master those instruments which allow him to operate in the Existence.

For the above reasons, masonic Symbols are classified in speculative Symbols and operating Symbols.
