Symbols of the Forces Tradition has used, in assigning names to various symbols, the same names that are used in current life to identify concepts which have something in common with the same symbols. These are analogical transpositions, often free and far-reacting, which always have the final aim of proposing ways of being, which can be perceived by our consciousness but non described by words. The Microcosm often perceives forces emaning from the Macrocosm, which appear under particular forms. In analogy with the analogical forces and forms attributed to the Gods of Olympus, seven symbols are traditionally proposed, which have the same names of Gods and heavenly bodies. These symbols are called Planets. Innerly, the Microcosm perceives other forces which have their own forms. These are not always easily controllable, sometimes being passively experienced but also actively generated, which seem to be imperfections to our inner consciousness. The typical peculiarity of such forces is to be transformable without being amorphous. In analogy with the exterior reality, such forces have been symbolically called Metals. They are seven, traditionally. Metals have their equivalents in the seven Planets. |
