The Initiation When, for the first time, we consciously enter in contact with an indescribable existential reality, and therefore not communicable, one lives experiences which can start an irreversable inner transformation. From that moment one is not the same person as before. This happens continously during one's life, but generally one does not dwell with due attention on what happens in such experiences. Superficially, the transformations are taken for granted. But in such moments it should be possible to understand many profound meanings of life, starting with the relationship of Sacrality which exists between life and our consciousness. From immemorial time men have got together to communicate wth each other, in ritual and sacred forms, the experience of an unknown existential reality.During solemn cerimonies, the candidate who has decided to face such experiences and who has been considered qualified, initiates a new way o life, having lived a new reality. Such an experience, completely uncommunicable to non-initiates, is traditionally called initiation. |
