Exploration

By antique Tradition, the first task of the researcher is to know himself. All those who try to scan the future to understand where we are going, know that one must begin by the knowledge of one's self. The visitors of the delfic Oracle could read on the Temple's portal such a maxim, categorical imperative on one side and encouragement on the other, to travel along an unexplored way, very difficult to follow.

Today the researcher who we can also call explorer, has become a "navigator" in the sea of information available through Internet. According to antique hermetic Traditions, the existence of a mythical Sea of Sages has always been debated.

The evident analogy should make us consider with attention the reasons that are at the base of the following observations :

  • many men have an inner vocation to explore undiscovered Lands and Seas ;
  • men, although not knowing the object of their research, cultivate the inspiration of some marvellous attainement in their secret inner being ;
  • true exploration is always solitary. Only when discovery has taken place, one reveals the necessity to testify to others what has been discovered.
