The Symbolism

To communicate directly the esoteric experience through the conceipts of the usual language being impossible, in teaching we must necessarily resort to some indirect methods which are grounded on Symbolism.

However we must immediately explain that the interpretation of the symbols, of the traditional en general and of the masonic ones in particular, can lead we off if we not well understand their essential proposal to be some modes of being. An interpretation grounded only on analogies and allegories is usually unadequate.

For what we have said, it seems to us that the usual ways of reasoning and interpreting are not sufficient to penetrate the secret of the symbols. The symbols can be only proposed to the attention of the observer, who, by his side, must exceed the impediments which interfere with a correct interpretation.

The correlations and the intuitions can help the observer to exceed this task.
