Assad Shoman Born in Belize, took a first degree in law at the University of Hull in England in 1966 and was called to the Bar in London in 1968. Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Sussex, 1967. Was Attorney General of Belize in 1974-1978, and Minister of Health and Housing 1979-1984. Director of the Society for the Promotion of Education and Research (SPEAR) 1987-1992. Has written several articles on Belize published in Belize, in Central America, Mexico, the USA and England. Books published include: Land in Belize (with Nigel Bolland); Party Politics in Belize; Thirteen Chapters of A History of Belize; and Backtalking. |
